Visit
We are excited to meet you and your family in person and show you our school! You will get to see what makes our school special and meet our friendly staff. They will take you on a tour of our campus and answer any questions you may have. Our Lower School (preschool to 5th grade) is next to Weston Town Center. Our Upper School (6th grade to 12th grade) is 4 miles away on Glades Circle.
Apply
After your visit, you can apply to our school by filling out our online form. There is a $75 fee when you submit your application.
Assess
Once we have your application, we will schedule your child’s assessments. These are to make sure your child is ready for their grade level. Our testing fee is $175. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade will need to complete the assessment.
We will also need some documents from you:
3 years to Pre-K: Copy of birth certificate or passport
Kindergarten to 5th grade: Copy of birth certificate or passport, Teacher Recommendation Form, Administrator Recommendation Form, and last year’s report card
6th grade to 12th grade: Copy of birth certificate or passport, report cards from the last two years, Teacher Recommendation Forms (from math and language arts teachers), Administrator Recommendation Form, and a resume or list of activities (like clubs or sports)
We accept students throughout the year, as long as there is space and they are ready for their grade level. All students in Kindergarten and up will take an assessment to confirm they are ready.
International Students
We welcome students from all around the world! Our International Student program helps students learn English and prepare for college in the United States. Many international students start with us in 8th grade and continue through 12th grade. By the time they finish, they speak English well and are ready for college. Some of our international students go to top schools like Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and the University of Miami. Sagemont Prep is authorized by the government to enroll international students. We can issue the I-20 Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Students.
Homestay
We know being far from home can be hard. That is why we offer Homestay, where international students live with carefully chosen host families. Living with a local family helps students feel supported and learn more about American culture. Host families become a special part of the student’s life while they are at school.
Summer Program for International Students
During the summer, our international students can join Camp Sagemont to improve their English and explore American culture. For middle school and high school students who come without family, we offer Homestay through Homestay Florida. Families who want to stay together can stay at Mizner Place, a hotel close to camp. We are more than happy to help you with setting up a host family or a hotel stay.
If you have any questions, please contact our school at admissions@sagemont.com or call 954-389-2454. We are excited to meet you!
