The Lion Table Talk series continued its tradition of impactful conversations with this year’s theme, “My Journey Since Sagemont Prep.” This special session featured a panel of Sagemont Prep alumni currently thriving in college, who returned to share their stories and insights with our students. Middle and high schoolers submitted questions ahead of time, sparking engaging discussions about college life. Alumni shared practical advice on navigating roommates, establishing new friendships, and preparing for college while still in middle and high school. They also highlighted how their Sagemont Prep coursework and co-curricular activities equipped them for success in choosing majors and pursuing career paths. One standout story came from an alumna whose AP courses at Sagemont Prep have enabled her to graduate college a year early and begin her master’s degree. The Sagemont Prep community consistently comes together to make a lasting impact through diverse service projects. Our kindergarteners organized a toy drive to benefit the Lotus House, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of women, youth, and children experiencing homelessness. The gifts collected brought joy during the holidays and taught our youngest students the powerful lesson that giving can be as rewarding as receiving. Meanwhile, our fourth graders supported Children’s Harbor, an organization that aids at-risk children and families during difficult times. They gathered nonperishable food, cleaning supplies, and toiletries, which were delivered with care and received with heartfelt gratitude. Thank you to everyone who contributed to these efforts.
